Philosophy:

Feet forward facing ahead for adventures to come. Don’t spend time looking in the rearview mirror. Take the lessons from yesterday and move on. Your time on this earth is precious and limited. Make your difference every day.

Arlene Roth was born and raised in rural, central New York State. Her nearness to nature helped her appreciate the land around her and her growing up on a farm with cattle and horses made her appreciate a relationship with animals, especially her horse.

After graduation from Virgil Central School, she attended Syracuse University where she graduated with a Dual Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Journalism from the College of Speech and Dramatic Arts, and Newhouse School of Communications.  She immediately moved to New York City and began a career in broadcasting at Westinghouse Broadcasting and the American Broadcasting Company.  Soon she landed a job in fashion with a trade association where she was involved in putting on an annual fashion show atop Rockefeller Center in the Rainbow Room.

Her career took a hiatus for her marriage and the birth of her son, Eric, and her family move to New Mexico. In New Mexico, Arlene spent 25 years in publicizing and raising funds for the MS Society, UNM Children’s Hospital, and a public policy think tank NM First. In 2004 she moved to Florida where for ten years she was Director of an education organization Uncommon Friends Foundation. She retired and remarried in 2014 and began her career in Fine Arts, starting her own business "Art With Feeling" where she paints acrylic on canvas in a colorful impasto impressionistic style selling at shows and on her website Artwithfeeling.com.
